Interactive: How NFC phones will change your encounters with posters

2012 is set to be the year that NFC moves towards the mass market, as it is incorporated into more devices in more markets than ever before, making the real world every bit as clickable and transactional as the online world.

The recent announcement from mobile operator Orange UK that they have equipped 200,000 UK customers with NFC phones that they will be able to use to tap smart posters and receive special rewards, demonstrates how far this technology has come.

On March 10th Posterscope is hosting ‘NFC: No Freakin’ Chance’ debate at SXSW interactive 2012, ahead of this they have produced a video which demonstrates the opportunities that NFC in conjunction with OOH can offer.
